Waking up with tinnitus, dizziness, vertigo, nasally voice or sinus pressure? You just might be clenching your teeth at night. May have TMJ? Nightguards can help.

Make a willful profession of faith, that through the power of the Holy Spirit, we can learn to be more content regardless of life's circumstances, knowing that God IS mysteriously causing all things to work together for our good.  (Philippians 4:11-13.  Romans 8:28)

Know that the random, automatic, involuntary, 'negative' thoughts that we experience and notice, are NOT US.  Therefore, we are no longer slaves to them. They stem from the 'old man' spirit, which is no longer our real and true identity. Our real identity is now 'new man'.  (Ephesians 4:22. Romans 7:15-20).

When we first begin our renewing of our mind journeys, while they'll lessen in time and will never totally cease while living in our earthly bodies, 80% of the thoughts we'll experience may be negative. So, we choose to be gentle on ourselves. We practice using our 'observing' mind to see/notice thoughts, assess them for Truth per God's Word, and gently confront the negative ones with a Word of Power from scripture. (ex. "as a new creation in Christ, I don't worry about my life, body, or tomorrow", or, "nothing can separate me from God's love", or, "I forgive others as God forgives me"). (Corinthians10:15. Romans 12:2)

We can choose what to place our mind's "attention" on.

(Dr. Gail Brenner)

We know God loves us exactly where we are, right now, and that we will be restored. (1Peter5:10. Romans 8:31-39)

Praying for others' healing not only helps the person we pray for, but, also helps us as well. (James 5:16).

Engaging in Christian contemplative centering prayer at least once, but preferably twice a day for 20 minutes, calms our mind, gives us more energy, calms our nervous system, and helps us feel closer to God. (Psalm 46:10. Rev. Thomas Keating)

Seeing a doctor and/or mental health professional can be an integral part of the healing process.

Regularly attending church services can be an integral part of one's healing journey. (Hebrews 10:24-2)

Restricting time spent on electronic devices to only those times that are absolutely essential, and not using electronic devices as many hours as possible before bedtime, decrease the body's cortisol levels, which facilitate healing.

Staying hydrated, not eating 3 or 4 or more hours before going to bed, avoiding food and drink with added sugar, alcohol, and caffeine when possible, taking walks and doing strength training, all help facilitate healing.
